Do you have an idea for a brilliant app for small businesses? Whether you are an inspired individual, a start-up company or a software developer – your idea could win some splendid prizes and reach thousands of small businesses.
Deutche Telekom has launched the ‘Business Wall of Fame’ contest to find the best app ideas for small businesses in some of their key European markets. Contest applicants can be based anywhere, but your app needs to appeal to small businesses in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania or Slovakia. The app should be designed to run in either English or the language of the target country.
The contest is for pre-launch concepts and you can submit up to 5 ideas. They should be at least in production phase and ready to launch by September 30th, or by the end of December for start-up applicants.
How it works
Public voting is central to the contest. So as well as the usual registration form, you’ll have the opportunity to upload a video, photographs and persuasive text to get people to vote for your app. You can also use social media to activate your network and gather as many votes as possible. Alongside that there are some great incentives for small businesses to vote directly. The top ten apps from the public votes will then be judged by an expert panel.

What you could win
The best national app can become national Cloud Partner and reach over 200,000 SMB customers by Deutsche Telekom and win a marketing campaign worth €30,000. The winning international app can become Cloud Partner of Deutsche Telekom across all six countries and reach up to 1,3 million entrepreneurs as well as a trip to T-Lab Berlin, featuring innovation showcases and possible cooperation deals. The selected Best Startup can win funding of up to €80,000 for app development in cooperation with Incubator hub:raum Krakow as well as an invitation to the “Long Night of Startups” from T-Labs – Berlin’s key startup event.
