What is it that makes a small business owner truly inspirational? Is it overcoming hurdles and handicaps to make their company succeed? Is it offering outstanding service to clients or showing real commitment to their employees? Or is it simply being an entrepreneur who is determined to succeed?
These are all questions that the promotional printing expert Instantprint are trying to discover with their Britain’s Most Inspirational Small Business Owner Award and their winner’s shortlist has just been announced.
Unusually for a small business awards scheme, and refreshingly, the shortlist is female dominated, with eight out of the ten spots taken by women.
Instantprint’s own inspiring story can be seen in the video below.
The 10-strong shortlist has been chosen from the many nominations received since the end of October by the three judges, Instantprint’s James Kinsella, MD of Crowdfunder Phil Geraghty and Lewis Bowen of the cleaner fuel company AIR.
Here are the candidates:
The overall winner will be the shortlisted business owner who receives most online votes on the Instantprint website between 23rd November and December 4th and their name will be revealed on Friday December 11th.
The victorious owner will win a cash prize of £1,500 as well as a wide range of material produced by Instantprint to promote their business. Naturally, they will also clinch the prestigious title of Britain’s Most Inspirational Small Business Owner 2015.
